The Chase Hayward Fossett Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for the 2024 scholarship. Chase Hayward Fossett graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2020 and exhibited the following characteristics: kind, humble, selfless, hardworking, athletic, loyal, positive with a contagious smile, love for the outdoors, and lastly, an entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurial spirit is a mindset. It’s an attitude and an approach to thinking that actively seeks out change rather than waiting to adapt to change. It’s a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous improvement.
The Chase Hayward Fossett Scholarship will recognize one student who is pursuing a post-secondary education and meets the following criteria:

2024 Recipient is Griffin Campbell, 2 years old from Sidney, Maine!
Chase graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2020 and was a junior at Maine Maritime Academy before being tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2022. His family wanted to pay it forward to other youth in Maine to share his love of the outdoors. Chase himself was a Lifetime Hunt and Fish enthusiast. He shot 2 bucks on his family’s property in New Portland and was an incredible fly fisherman enjoying the rivers and ponds of Maine seeking brook trout and salmon.
