Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine Youth Hunt & Fish Lifetime License

The Chase Hayward Fossett Scholarship Fund is accepting nominations for the Youth Hunt & Fish lifetime License for 2026.

Chase graduated from Gardiner Area High School in 2020 and was a junior at Maine Maritime Academy before being tragically killed in an automobile accident in 2022. His family wanted to pay it forward to other youth in Maine to share his love of the outdoors. Chase himself was a Lifetime Hunt and Fish enthusiast. He shot 2 bucks on his family’s property in New Portland and was an incredible fly fisherman enjoying the rivers and ponds of Maine seeking brook trout and salmon.

  • Youth must be a Maine resident.
  • Youth must be 15 years of age or younger at time of award.

Scholarship Amount

One youth Lifetime license Fish & Hunt in age group infant – 5 years of age or 6 – 15 years of age each year.
